Christmas Wishes come true for 170 children!
VLC's November/December Project was to sponsor a child in need for Christmas. It was a commitment of your time and treasure. You contacted the mom for the child's wish list, shopped, and delivered the gifts to their home. VLC brought the joy of Christmas to 170 children this year! This represents close to $17,000.00 of giving by VLC individuals and families in one month's time! I hope you know what relief you brought to those parents and how grateful they were to have your help this year, and that you thought about those children on Christmas morning, wondering how their Secret Santa did! Shopping for Claire was so much fun. I took the gifts to Linda (her mom) on Monday and she was so grateful and so excited. I may of gone a little overboard, but that's just in my nature. Linda said she would send me some pictures after x-mas and that will be enough for me. Thanks for setting this up, it felt good to do it and I will certainly do it again next year.
I was able to connect with Susan and on Friday, I delivered gifts for her son Jason and a few for Susan too. Susan is a very young girl with so much on her plate that chooses to have a positive attitude and a grateful heart ... It was my gift to meet her ... Thank You for the connection ...
