Volunteers of Lake Country kicked off June by running a food drive. 26 volunteers distributed 1,000 bags into subdivisions in our community and collected the donations the following weekend. There were also 2 volunteers on three 2-hour shifts that worked at the Village Square Pick N Save asking customers to consider donating items as well. 41 volunteer hours...more than 200 bags of groceries...over 1500 items...and $167.00 was collected and delivered to the Hartland Food Pantry, whose shelves were getting bare once again.
